we drove to the magical Mývatn area, where the landscape looks like another planet. We explored the colourful Krafla crater, bubbling mud pots at Hverir, and climbed the impressive Hverfjall (Hverfell) crater for epic views.
We also visited the steamy Grjótagjá hot water cave (famous from Game of Thrones), wandered through the mystical lava formations of Dimmuborgir, and ended the day feeling small but happy at Goðafoss waterfall, where the water flows like liquid silk. An unforgettable day with volcano vibes, hot steam, and lots of “wow”.
