Bass lake to Alcatraz tour

eggs, bacon, fruits. Classic American , sunshine through the window, laughter over bottomless coffee. By afternoon, the warmth was gone. On Alcatraz, wind bit through our jackets as we stepped into the cellhouse. The audio tour pulled us into another world — a convict whispering about “The Hole,” a guard recalling tension before a riot, a voice cracking as he described watching the fog roll in, blurring the freedom just across the bay. Stories of isolation, hope, madness, and music echoing through the pipes. The contrast was striking — from cheerful clatter to cold steel silence. Two meals for the soul… but only one came with syrup.
