Death Valley

June 22, 2025 - Death Valley
Surprisingly "cool" day in Death Valley – only 36°C, a perfect chance to explore without completely melting away. First stop: Zabriskie Point – the erly afternoon sun giving nice shadows on the hills. Then further on to Badwater Basin, 85.5 meters below sea level. Salt cracked under our feet like old snow. Sunset, the colors exploded at Artist's Palette – wild pinks, purples and greens baked into the rocks like nature's own abstract art. Death Valley showed us its softer side today – hot, but not deadly this day.
