Hoover Dam & Guns
-
Our first stop was the Hoover Dam, standing proud and massive in the desert heat. It's one of those places that reminds you how small we really are — and how much humans can build when they’re determined, its from 1935.
Classic Lunch at Sonic burgers, eaten outside in the shadows. Then a practical stop at Walmart to refill water supplies. Death Valley was calling, and we knew we had to be ready.
But before the long stretch west, we pulled into Amendment Guns & Range. What started as a curious detour turned into something more meaningful. Inside, we met a veteran who spoke openly about why he carries a weapon — not with aggression, but with thoughtfulness and pride. It was one of those conversations that leaves a mark. So far away from our Scandinavian culture and mindset.
