Ruby’s diner & Thousands step Beach

An authentic diner from the 40-50s, red lack, chrome, and with a smiling uniformed staff. After that, we walked down the long stairs to Thousand Steps Beach – big waves today, with lifeguards doing a great job, talking to everyone and reminding us to only go in up to our knees because of the strong surf.

We spent about three hours there, just enjoying the beach vibes, the sound of the waves, and watching brave surfers take on the swells. Afterwards, we headed back up the stairs (definitely felt like a thousand steps!) and returned to Ruby’s for a super juicy burger.

Finally, we drove back to Menifee for dinner – full, salty, and happy after a classic Californian beach day. In the evening, 4 July barbecue, and ending with a movie.
