Kings canyon and Sequoia forest

We started the day with a lovely hot shower, coffee, and a classic American breakfast – the perfect way to wake up. Then we hit the road towards Kings Canyon Visitor Center to see the General Grant Tree, also known as the Nation’s Christmas Tree.

Afterwards, we drove the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway all the way to the end. The road followed a beautiful river, its clear water shimmering in the bright California sun. The river twisted through deep canyons, with granite cliffs towering high above and pine trees casting cool shadows over the banks. In some places, the sun lit up the water so it sparkled like liquid silver, while people sat on the rocky beaches with their feet in the cold, refreshing flow.
